Innovating Computational Approaches in Atmospheric Modeling and Air Pollution Observation
About me
Greetings! I am Horim Kim, a researcher with a passion for integrating scientific computing with environmental science. My academic journey has taken me from South Korea to Switzerland, where I developed expertise in atmospheric modeling and air pollution observation techniques. I am currently fulfilling my mandatory military service as a Technical Research Personnel at the Institute of Construction and Environmental Engineering, Seoul National University, Republic of Korea (Aug. 2022 – Aug. 2025).
Feel free to reach out to me at harriskim007@snu.ac.kr.
Research Interests
I am deeply interested in integrating scientific computing with environmental science, particularly in applying artificial intelligence and numerical methods to atmospheric modeling and observational data. My research focuses on air pollution modeling and developing advanced observation technologies, such as satellite remote sensing and uncrewed aerial vehicles. Ultimately, my objective is to devise data-driven approaches that enhance predictive atmospheric models and contribute to mitigating the impacts of air pollution and climate change.
